Let’s discover the world of Kim Leuenberger, author of this series of images titled « Traveling Cars Adventures ». This young photographer who has traveled the world and photographed these Mini Cooper, VW van, Vespa and Beetls miniature to the ground level to stage them in very diverse but always gorgeous landscapes.
Kim Leuenberger, author of this series of images she entitled « Traveling Cars Adventures », is a young swiss photographer with a wide and over productive imagination. As she says herself, « I have to find ways to let things go off of my head (so I don’t explode) ». She started to take photos with a « throw-away » Kodak when she was a kid until her family got a digital camera with which she could practice a lot.
She got her first DSLR for her 19th birthday and then she began to photographing in a more artistic way and spent hours in Bern or Basel to photoshoots her friends. Then, she decided to study photography in the London University of The Arts and later, her teachers offered to do an exhibition of her work (especially The Traveling Cars Adventures).
Kim is very close to nature and loves to have friends with her to take little car pictures. « it’s always more fun, and I look a little bit less ridiculous (only a bit). As I take the pictures low on the ground, I often have to lie down to make the focus perfect. Sometimes people would walk by and find me funny. » she says. And this is how she ended up selling some of the photos to the smiling people who was looking at her.
The pictures bellow was taken in United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary and Indonesia with a Canon 5D Mark III DSLR and a Sigma 50mm f1.4 lens.
